He studied at the École Saint-Luc in Tournai and started working as a diamond cutter (1964). In 1969, he made his first jewellery and in 1970 created an exclusive collection for Bloomingdale in New York. After that, he worked mainly as a designer of furniture and utensils: tables, chairs, cabinets, floor lamps, combining different materials (wood, metal, polystyrene). At the same time, he tried to express himself in sculpture. Using burnt wood and discarded railway sleepers, he sculpted abstract forms. From 1972, he incorporated brass into his wooden sculptures. The brass was hammered into shape and decorated with plant motifs. He made wall panels in engraved brass (1973), as well as a wall sculpture for the lobby of the Ascot hotel and for Chevron s.a. in Brussels (1978).
He participated in exhibitions in Los Angeles (1979); at Welders s.a. zoning d'Alost (1980) and at the ADAC centre in Atlanta (USA). The wall panels became table sculptures, which he exhibited in collaboration with Elisabeth Franck in Knokke-le-Zoute (1981).
He continued to work as a sculptor and designer. From the same poetic angle, inspired by people and nature. He creates abstract figures, floor lamps and sculptural tables with elaborate surfaces.
In 1984, Le Vif-L'Express organised the Retrospective 1984-2004 and in 2004 the exhibition Voyages Intérieurs took place in his studio at No 314 Rue de la Forest in Brussels.
